Jennie was one of six known children of Robert and Kate (Katherine McCool). Her sister Maggie lived only one day (15-16 Jun 1888) and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery. There were three sons: James Lawson, John Keene and Alvin J. and one daughter Lydia who lived to adulthood.
Robert Trindle was the son of John Keene Trindle and Isabella Lamon. We do not know the parentage of John, but it seems possible that he is the grandson of Thomas Trindal who is found in the Philadelphia Census in 1830 age 60-70. There is a Joseph Trindle listed in the census in Philadelphia in 1840 with nine people in the household, but no males are young enough to be John Keene if he was in fact born in 1833. The males in the household were all over 20.
So, we are left wondering. John was, according to all known records, born in Pennsylvania. Descendants in his family state he was born in Cork, Ireland. That seems most likely to go back another generation or two. Although there are many John Trindles found in my records, none could be a match for John Keene. Who are his parents? Is there an Irish connection?
